Welcome to your newest go-to summer marinade, featuring some spicy sambal, brown sugar and coconut milk to balance out the heat, and lots of fresh ginger and lime juice.
I added a bit fish sauce to this marinade – highly recommend for more umami!!
This recipe is unbelievable and is universally liked by all when I cook it. It has it all. So delicious. Good with ANY protein. And super easy to throw together and grill. Great for summer or winter.
Delicious. This has become a staple marinade for me. It is great on chicken and shrimp, or fish, I even used it on some thick slices of grilled cabbage (try it… Sounds weird you won’t regret it). If there was anything that would ever turn me vegetarian that would have been it! After playing with the recipe I have found I like to add the cilantro right in and add a bit of extra sugar, balances it out for me.
I also like to add some Worcestershire sauce maybe a tablespoon or so it gives it even more umami punch!
This was so good! We only had 1 lb of chicken instead of 2 but I left the rest of the recipe the same – wow flavor! We let it marinate for 3 hrs, and it was pretty spicy, but worth it. We’ll definitely be making this again, and we’ll be trying shrimp and steak like Molly did in the video.
