: HBO Max has unveiled the trailer for
Lust,
a Swedish comedy about the sex lives of four middle-aged women in Stockholm.
The eight-parter from Frans Milisic Wiklund had its premiere at this week’s Berlinale Series and will drop on the WarnerMedia streamer on March 18 in 61 territories.
Starring Sofia Helin, Anja Lundqvist, Julia Dufvenius and Elin Klinga, the comedy follows a group of four friends who start worrying about their sex lives when one of them, public health researcher Anette (Helin), conducts a study entitled
Sex is a Highway to Health
. The four start to question how decadent Swedish sin has been replaced by the mundane realities of Thursday sex, careers, kids, marriage, divorce and the never-ending struggle to stay young, fit and sexy.

Speaking to Deadline last month, Berlinale Series Head Julia Fidel said
Lust
is evidence that Scandinavian TV has now evolved well beyond traditional Scandi Noir.
“It’s very original, very Swedish and very honest” she said of the show, which is one of several HBO Max Scandi originals including
Beforeigners, Kamikaze
ID.
Lust
is directed by Ella Lemhagen, written and created by Wiklund and co-created with Åsa Kalmér, Dufvenius, Helin and Lundqvist. The series is produced by Sandra Harms and Karl Fredrik Ulfung, Miso Film Sverige AB for HBO Max. Executive producers for HBO Max are Christian Wikander and Camilla Curtis.
